The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will provide financial assistance to qualified students this year in 2019-2020. DSWD explained in reaction to queries that the Department is providing instructional help to indigent learners, but there is no scholarship program for the organization.
Educational assistance is part of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), which is part of the DSWD's Protective Services Program (PSP) package that provides intervention in difficult and vulnerable situations for individuals, families and communities.
Elementary and high school students can only receive educational assistance once or every enrolment period. However, indigent college students may seek help every semester.
Indigent country across the country, apart from the DSWD Central Office, can take advantage of instructional help at the Department's various regional headquarters.
Qualifications to get Educational Assistance
1. Working Students2. Studebts of Vocational/Technological Schools
3. Students of State Colleges and UUniversities
4. The family is in victim of displacement
5. Repatriated/Deportees Overseas Filipinos
(OFs)
Requirements
1. Valid ID of the Client or person to be iterviewed2. Enrollment Assesment Form or Certicate of Enrollment or Registration
3. Validated School ID of the Student
4. Statement of Account for College Student
5. Certificate of Indigency/Residency of the Client
Items to be Submitted
1. Photocopy of Client/Guardian and Student2. Photocopy of Enrollment Assessment Form or Certificate of Enrollment or Registration
3. All photocopies must have "Certified True Copy" stamp
4. All documents and requirements must be compiled on A4 folder
5. Submit to DSWD Central Office and get assigned/serial number.
NOTE: Bring all the original documents, they will check it.
Financial Assistance
All Indigent students whose under DSWD Qualifier will receive different amount each level:Level | Amount Receive |
