The list of passers for Medical Technology Licensure Exam (MTLE) January 2021 are expected to be released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Medical Technology three (3) working days after the licensure exam.
The MTLE were conducted on January 21 and 22, 2021 at PRC testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga by PRC Board of Medical Technologists headed by its Chairman, Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza and its members, Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco.
The MTLE results include the complete list of passers, list of topnotchers (top 10 passers), list of top performing schools (if applicable), among important reminders.

Reiven John Borbon Bernales from University of San Agustin ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 90.50% followed by Marichu Panceras Lomotos from Silliman University having 90.40% and Phoebe Badillo Caballero from Far Eastern University having 90.10%.
In the top performing schools list, Cagayan State University - Andrews Campus and Adventist University of the Philippine ranked first having all of their examinees passed or 100% overall passing rate.On September 2018, 4,718 out of 6,070 (77.73%) examinees passed. Lorenz Masajo Barro from University of Santo Tomas (UST) ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 92.10% followed by Rolter Lorenz Mispeñas Lee also from UST having 91.80% and Eldy Villanoy Barrientos from University of Agustin having 91.70%. In the top performing schools, four (4) schools shared the top spot having 100% passing rate namely; Velez College, University of San Agustin, Trinity University of Asia and Saint Louis University.
SCHEDULE OF REGISTRATION
The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Physicians will start be released along with official results.
Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:
- Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
- Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
- One (1) piece short brown envelope
PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
As per PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020 entitled "Schedule of Licensure Examinations for Year 2021", the target date of release for MTLE January 2021 is on January 27, 2021 (Wednesday) or three (3) working days after the exams. However, results may also be released earlier or later than the target release date even without prior notice.
The oathtaking ceremony of the new licensed MedTechs will be done online, now referred as the e-oath, unless changed and announced officially. The application system for the e-oath can also be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal.

The two-days MedTech board exam covered topics from Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy, Hematology, Blood Banking and Serology and Hispathologic Techniques, Cytotechnology, Medical Technology Laws, Related Laws and its Implementing Rules and Code of Ethics.
