 The Dentist Licensure Exam (DLE) or known as Dentistry Board Exam is an annual board exam conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The test qualifies aspiring dentists in the country. After passing the licensure exam, dentists can pursue a career in private practice, teaching, public health, research, and hospital dentistry. The dentist board exam is held twice a year, every May and December.

Unlike most of the country's licensure exams, the dentist board exam consists of two phases. Below are the list of two (2) phases and it's coverage:

Written Exam

You have to pass this phase first before you can move forward to the next and final phase. Below are the coverage of this phase:

•  General and Oral Anatomy and Physiology
•  Restorative Dentistry, Public Health, and Community •  Dentistry
•  General and Oral Pathology; General and Oral Microscopic
•  Anatomy and Microbiology
•  Prosthetic Dentistry
•  Roentgenology, Oral diagnosis, and Oral surgery
•  Anesthesiology and Pharmacology
•  Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics
•  Dental jurisprudence, Ethics, and Practice Management
•  Periodontics and Endodontics

Practical Phase

This will be the final phase of this exam. Below are the coverage of this phase:

•  Amalgam exam
•  Fixed partial denture examination
•  Removable partial denture design exam
•  Complete denture with live patient

DLE DECEMBER 2019 RESULTS

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the results of the December 2019 Dentists Licensure Examinations (DLE). The Dentistry Board Exam has taken out the written phase last December 3, 4 and 5, 2019 and the practical phase last December 15, 16, 17 and 18, 2019. The said examinations were handled by the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Dentistry headed by Dr. Maria Jona D. Godoy, Officer-In-Charge and members, Dr. Roberto M. Tajonera, Dr. Melinda L. Garcia, Dr. Carlito D. Paragas, and Dr. Rodolfo R. Drapete.
